A happy change from 'stolen instruments'

Found - believed to belong to Melvyn who's well known as a busker (but where?) 1 melodeon.

Left at the door of the police station 1 Accordian

Both following Fylde this year. PM for claims or info.

Stu

I daresay the accordion left on the doorstep of the police station was part of the Morris Amnesty Initiative. Lets hope the "Hand in ya bhodruns" drive goes well, too :-)

No - mere tokenism - I'm sure there'll always be an underground trade in illicit bodhrans ... unfortunately ...

" Left at the door of the police station 1 Accordian "

Another futile attempt at getting rid of it after the skip spat it out :o)

"Left at the door of the police station 1 Accordeon"

Probably turning itself in for crimes against music.

If those comments had been directed at banjos , I would be complaining

Melvyn, the well known busker who's whereabouts are unknown could possibly be spotted as a mime artist now - as a melodeon player.

Please give generously.

Music for a found Accordian
that would make a good title for a tune

Accordian to popular belief the melodeons' a useful instrument as an aid to morris dancing.

In the interests of the safe return of the melodeon:
The only "Melvyn" busker I know from the North West is Melvyn Ashcroft who busks in Chorley, amongst other places. He usually plays duet concertina but melodeon would not be unknown in his repertoire. He would very likely be at Fylde - I've seen him there several times. I can't offer a contact for him but I believe he lives in Adlington, near Chorley, so this may prompt someone's memory who can expand on this.
And it's not the first time he's left instruments lying around . . .
Hope he gets it back.

To play the accordion you need to have a split personality.
And both of you need to be excellent typists !

Leadfingers: Remember that Far Side cartoon of the Maestro being led into Hell by Satan?

"Welcome to Hell, Maestro. Here's your room."

The room is full of banjo and accordion players.
