14 Sep 06 - 03:12 PM (#1834561) Subject: BS: The magic number From: Donuel There are "magic" numbers like the golden mean, Avogadro's number, pi etc. I just want an answer from my goverment regarding a number. No... not a date, just a number or two. How many people, primarily members of your religion, would need to be killed for you to change your religion? How many Islamic fundamentalists would need to be killed for them to change their religion? George I don't need an exact answer or a fuzzy math equation, I just want you to give us a ball park figure. After all you recently said all of civilization depends on this war. You are also calling for immediate legislation to make legal; all your secret prisons, military tribunals and torture , as well as immunity from war crimes. Comon George, even a fraction will do. |

14 Sep 06 - 09:09 PM (#1834852) Subject: RE: BS: The magic number From: Amos Just as with the Fibonacci, the magic number approaches something like 1.6180339887498948482 or thereabouts. This is natures favorite ratio. It defines the Golden Mean, the sides of the Golden Rectangle, the ratio of the Fibonacci series and the rate of slope for natural spirals found in poppies and spiralling sea-shells. Use it in good health. A You may have noticed that as an answer to Donuel's question, the existing situation has exceeded the right answer by an order of tens of thousands at least. This proportion is inversely proportional to the composite intelligent of the Wolfowitzian cabal. |

As for the Golden Ratio, according to at least one definition of it (the number of which the square is one more than the number itself), there is ANOTHER Golden Ratio, -0.618034 or so, the negaitive root of the same equation. I don't know if it has any other properties, and I'm not mathematician enough to find out. |

The Final Solution is in keeping with secret prisons, camps, torture and military tribunal executions that accept hearsay - secret evidence and done withour the accused being present. but we dont need ovens anymore. neutron bombs are remarkable things. |

16 Sep 06 - 06:30 PM (#1836293) Subject: RE: BS: The magic number From: Matt_R WRONG. Three is the magic number. Three is a magic number, Yes it is, it's a magic number. Somewhere in the ancient, mystic trinity You get three as a magic number. The past and the present and the future. Faith and Hope and Charity, The heart and the brain and the body Give you three as a magic number. It takes three legs to make a tripod Or to make a table stand. It takes three wheels to make a vehicle Called a tricycle. Every triangle has three corners, Every triangle has three sides, No more, no less. You don't have to guess. When it's three you can see It's a magic number. A man and a woman had a little baby, Yes, they did. They had three in the family, And that's a magic number. 3-6-9, 12-15-18, 21-24-27, 30. 3-6-9, 12-15-18, 21-24-27, 30. Multiply backwards from three times ten: Three time ten is (30), three times nine is (27), Three times eight is (24), three times seven is (21), Three times six is (18), three times five is (15), Three times four is twelve, And three times three is nine, and three times two is six, And three times one is three of course. Now take the pattern once more: Three! . . .3-6-9 Twelve! . . .12-15-18 Twenty-one!. . .21-24-27. . .30 Now multiply from 10 backwards: Three time ten is (30 - Keep going), three times nine is (27), Three times eight is (24), three times seven is (21), Three times six is (18), three times five is (15), Three times four is twelve, And three times three is nine, and three times two is six, And three times one... What is it?! Three! Yeah, That's a magic number. A man and a woman had a little baby. Yes, they did. They had three in the family. And that's a magic number. |
