My car was badly damaged a few days ago - not my fault (no - it really wasn't) - & Helphire have been calling me. They & their website say that they provide hirecars to innocent drivers, & reclaim the costs from the guilty party. The innocent party pays a £10 insurance fee in case the in 3rd parties insurance doesn't pay up. Googling shows the company really does exist - I did wonder. What worries me .... too good to be true ?? The driver of the car that ran into me ran off leaving the car behind. I haven't found out from the police yet if the driver was the owner or if the car was/claimed to be stolen (the keys were left in the abandoned car). Does anyone have any experience of dealing with Helphire ???? Thank you |

But sometimes you have to just take that leap of faith. As the victim of a stolen car smash up, I'd say it's worth investigating, £10 isn't really that much if you're looking at £300 worth of work needed. LTS |

This will tell you how long the company has been incorporated. If it's less than 18 months old, don't touch it. LTS |
