Well, well, well...

Whereas it's nice to see the gas prices comin' down I can't help but wonder if Big Oil is in cahoots in tryin' to tighten up the upcoming elction...

Now I know exactly what Old Guy is going to say but, hey, how 'bout the rest of you folks... Is Big Oil playin' a game to try to keep a Repub pro-oil folks in control of both houses of Congress???

Don't talk morals in a whorehouse. Congress, Big Business--same thing. A pox on them both. Bastards they are. May their collective cajones rot, ferment and provide food for maggots.

I was elling my wife the other nite that the 3 big car manufacturers are having such problems with their vechiles that it seems that it's a plot. Lower the gas prices & the American public with it's short term memory will forget the that the prices were high go out & buy big again once the memory lapses, the public will feel good about the reduction in price & the auto industry get a good face & all's well that ends well. Until after the elections. Starting Nov the cost of home heating will jump & you will see the gas rate sky rocket. Tham republicans are a crafty bunch, ain't they.

Last night either Jay Leno or David Letterman said, 'Did you notice that gas prices are coming down? And I predict they will continue to drop - until 10 minutes after Election Day.'

The sad thing is that it's a winning strategy. Voters everywhere forget so easily when someone throws them a handful of crumbs.

The problem is that once you have bought one politician, or election, you just have to get the whole set...

I still think that some governments are more honest than others.

Most politicians are corrupt but I have met a few who sincerely want to make this a better world.

Trouble with the Republicans is that they spend all their time and energy coniving as to how they can hold on to their riches and are threatened by the masses.

Whats really a joke with the Bush admin. is that they have figured out how to get the people who should despise them, actually voting for them.

Govt. + Organized Religion = Power and Greed

Or not votin' for them but still holdin' power...

Think Diebold here...

Think Katherine Harris and Jeb Bush here...

These current batch of Repubs have winning elections down pat, even when more people vote against them than for them...

$1.79 a gallon yesterday in some areas of Virginia...

Some of you are too keen to see conspiracies in everything.

Fuel prices are coming down this side of the pond too and we don't have elections of any sort due until next May. They have fallen around 10 pence a litre in the last couple of weeks. That's equivalent to about 65c per US gallon.

"Fuel prices are coming down"

Ah! That's just all part of The Master Plan!

Not sewn up, John, but close... A Dem will ahve to win by greater than 3 or 4 percent inorder to be delared the winner... Anything closer than that is completely in Diebold's hands in way too many areas of the country... Throw in all the dirty polling tricks that the Repuub's employ, including excluding eligible voters from the voting rolls, long lines, polling places closing in inner cities with folks still waiting in lines, etc. and it gonna take a mammouth effore to unseat the current regime...

But Bush will go around the country telling folks that the reason we're in Iraq is because we are freedom loving folks who love democracy...

Hmmmmmm???

The last time the Saudis dragged the price of oil down by flooding the market, it was, oddly, just in time for the 2004 erection.

It's not about democracy, as anyone studying the management of post-invasion policies could see. If it were, the privatization of oil in Iraq would have been completed by now, and a number of small Iraqi oil companies wouldf have been getting on line. It's about OPEN, defense and control of.

For a fascinating documentation of this perspective, I suggest the fact-rich book "Armed Madhouse" by Greg Palast. It kind of opens up the seamy side of this revoltin' predickament.

Has everyone forgot that Geo. Bush gave everyone a $600 return of their tax money right off the start of his office? This man's heart is right. I just regret I did not turn mine over to the National Democratic Party for 2004. We got $600, Big oil got 60 billion and still counting. We sell our votes cheap....But we have a choice....
and I am thinking of denouncing my citizenship to become a vote dodger and let the chips fall where they fall.

In New York state Republican Governor Geo. Pataki bought his re-election for a mere $50 tax refund per person. Some sell their votes cheaper than others.

(of course, that was only a State, not a National election)

I believe that $300 per taxpayer was the touted figure. My income wasn't the highest - I got $75.

Y'all keep in mind that the money was NOT a gift- it was paid back.
