In the original language of Jesus' time, his name was not pronounced "Jesus" like we say it, it was probably pronounced "Yesh-oo-wah". I was watchng CSPAN the other day when they had on a panel of the "Conservative Agenda." It was nothing but Christian Nationalists including the odious Dobson from Focus on the Family. It was sickening to listen to; a refresher on why I believe in human rights for all and abhor their politics. They had a very receptive audience who cheered and clapped when they declared the "homosexual agenda" was more about destroying the "institution of marriage" than anything else and on and on ad naseum. If I were a traditional GOP I'd be figuring out how to take my party back from them, pronto! |

We said, "No problem!" and dropped her off every Sunday morning for 3 weeks, while my husband, myself and our other daughter went on the most child centred family adventures we could think of. At the end of three weeks she decided that the family fun she was missing seemed a lot more interesting than colouring purple Jesus's and she never showed an interest in Bible Camp again......thank God. |
