I've decided to forward this Email I've received from Chris... Hello everybody, I'm a bit sad to tell you that there will be no more sessions at the Breidden, Middletown. Some of you may know that I've been less than happy with the way things have been going in recent years - especially the way many of the regulars have been getting louder, not just ignoring us but sometimes actually trying to drown us out. Well, some of them have proved to be even more aggressive - a group of visitors were physically attacked the other night - so I've decided to call a halt. There's plenty of other sessions - look in Shreds and Patches - so I'll see you almost as often . . . Hmm, that could be considered a good or a bad thing I suppose . . . All the best, Chris 'Yorkie' Bartram I think I've mentioned apathy before. Sal 8) |

However good came out of it as it's moved to a new venue The Plough at Staining, where the Landlord, Staff and regulars couldn't be better for supporting and joining in, so there are still some good venues out there! Hopefully the session/singaround will find one? With the help of the Landlord The Plough is playing host to The Polyjesters from Canada on their UK Tour (14th Nov).. things can get Better! good luck Fylde Folkies who love a session! |
