23 Oct 06 - 10:05 AM (#1866457) Subject: RE: stockroom five From: The Borchester Echo The Stockroom Five was a quartet: Clive Palmer, Mick Bennett, John Bidwell plus an ever-changing fourth member which succeeded the Famous Jug Band, preceded the Temple Creatures and finally settled on a stable format as a trio, Clive's Original Band (COB) who made that marvellous recording Spirit Of Love. I understand that Clive Palmer has now returned to Cornwall from Brittany and will be gigging with Lawson Dando. |

I am spaniard (as in the old way) and I saw them in the Lobsterpot Club too on July, 1969, and they shocked me. It was an amazing concert, because we (me and my little spanish friends)never heard live music like that in our isolated country. I enjoyded a lot, really. Afterwards, I never heard anything about them. Google is all. Specially, I remember the great percusionist playing a lot of strange elements but making a real great rythm. |
