JP can play just about anything, and do so better than is considered humanly possible, but this comes as close to playng air guitar as I have seen.

Yup... one in a million, that guy. Never ceases to amaze me, every time I see him play.

Some say you need a solid top for good sound, but I'm betting he proved them wrong.

I'm going to see him play at the Middle Musquodoboit Bicentennial Theatre Nov. 12. I really want a closer look at that guitar.

Matt Anderson is no slouch either. It should be a good show!

The link has turned over to today's version of the Herald so the item is no longer there. However If you scroll down there is great news for Rankin Family fans. I'll start a new thread for that rather than sidetrack this one.

JP endorses Yamaha guitars (among others). This is one of their 'Silent' series:

Saw JP Cormier and Bruce Guthro here in Saint John back in September at a songwriters circle ... both are outstanding artists ... but don't put these 2 guys together as they happen to be very good story tellers also ... I had tears of lafter rolling down my face listening to them.

A stunning musician, but his guitar sound when I saw him last summer (he used a flattop) kinda sucked. Hope it was an exception. Amplified sound is so disappointing sometimes.

Peace, Mooh.

When I saw JP Cormierm at the Songwriter's circle it was just him and an accoustic (Yamaha) .. the songs he did we're very good.

Off Topic here, sorry but I'm posting this anyway ... Bruce Guthro, I have seen 3 times live ... just him and an accoustic ... he was outstanding all 3 times ... yet I find his recordings very disappointing ... over produced, electrified instruments, drums, keyboards the whole razzamatazz. He should just stick to simple accoustic recordings. In that format he shines.
