02 Nov 06 - 11:35 AM (#1874767) Subject: RE: Review: JP Cormiers Guitar From: number 6 Saw JP Cormier and Bruce Guthro here in Saint John back in September at a songwriters circle ... both are outstanding artists ... but don't put these 2 guys together as they happen to be very good story tellers also ... I had tears of lafter rolling down my face listening to them. biLL |
02 Nov 06 - 12:56 PM (#1874842) Subject: RE: Review: JP Cormiers Guitar From: Mooh A stunning musician, but his guitar sound when I saw him last summer (he used a flattop) kinda sucked. Hope it was an exception. Amplified sound is so disappointing sometimes. Peace, Mooh. |
02 Nov 06 - 01:58 PM (#1874872) Subject: RE: Review: JP Cormiers Guitar From: GUEST,Number 6 When I saw JP Cormierm at the Songwriter's circle it was just him and an accoustic (Yamaha) .. the songs he did we're very good. Off Topic here, sorry but I'm posting this anyway ... Bruce Guthro, I have seen 3 times live ... just him and an accoustic ... he was outstanding all 3 times ... yet I find his recordings very disappointing ... over produced, electrified instruments, drums, keyboards the whole razzamatazz. He should just stick to simple accoustic recordings. In that format he shines. biLL |
