I saw him a good few times at the Tree Inn Folk Club, as was, in Stratton, near Bude. Bloody brilliant. The last time I saw him I lasted about three of his songs then spent the rest of the evening, half-pissed, in nearby Stratton Medical Centre, having a foreign object removed from my eye by a nurse of the old style, one of those who took no prisoners. Ah, those were the days! |
