Jackson Traditional Singers Club

Last night we held the charter meeting of the Jackson Traditional Singers Club, on a chilly night in our beloved Irish pub (Fenian's) in Jackson, Mississippi which is celebrating its tenth year.
It was a tiny group due to lots of conflicts, but we got things off the ground anyway, with some fairly coherent plans for next month and on from there.   We had a lot of good 'crack' and laughter, most people would not have believed it was really a meeting.
Followed by a couple of sets done by one of our Founders, Jim Flanagan, lots of wonderful songs.

Anyway, thanks for the Mudcat support, all the information and the advice on folk clubs, we will have a long winding road of it, and Mudcatters can watch through the nursery window as this little creature gets started.

All the best to it.
It looks like a lot of threads have fallen below the 1 day line without many people reading them, due to mudcat problems so lets refresh this one.

Thanks, Mo & Lead!
I don't know "what's on offer" means. But if you're crossing the Atlantic and the Getaway is held in Maryland, we are a hell of a long way out of your way, unless you are you also going to drive to the Pacific Coast.
