But the main thing is getting a few people together who are able and rerady to play, so the personal invites are probably more important, especially for the first night. |

Then just start playing and hope enough people are there to join in ! Pay my return fare and a bed and I will be there just to play (MUSICALLY) with Rosa and you !! |

So if that session is still going you might get some players for your new session. Lots of people play in more than one session. Once you get a few players together it's useful to agree a few 'ground rules'. Sessions split up very easily if some people think that tunes are too slow, others think that they're played too fast. Some people only want well-known easy tunes, at some sessions songs are acceptable, not at others... But if you are concerned that everyone gets what they want the session is more likely to be a long-term sussess. Did you know that Reykjavik is one of our twin towns here in Hull? Perhaps Reykjavik doesn't like to own up to it! |
