Gwenda & Terry Cater

They should have said

John Blanks
Tina Taylor
Aimee Robertson

Glad the wine was OK. Always try to get decent wine and hoprfully people enjoy it, but don't get much feedback on that.

Up until a couple of months ago, I only used to get wine that had proper corks in, but its like trying to fight a losing battle.

I got to see some of the pictures from the trip to India.I thought how lucky to that at such a young age.Enjoyed Aimee very much and thought the choice of her set was really interesting.I do like variety in a set and Aimee gave us that and more.
Tina Taylor has one of those rich folk voices i guess many strive to achieve.Plenty of info between songs as to their origin and a who's who in the folk scene.Sad to say a lot of the names went over my head, but everyone else was nodding in reply.
Harri Watts 1st set was all new stuff they are refining,i think they said. The club is a great place to air your new stuff and i am glad they recorded it.Only they will know what needs tweeking here and there, but for the rest of us it seemed to go down well.
John Blanks rushed over from another gig and robbed Helian Keys of a chance to do a few vocal only songs. Thanks John,we will remember that,(only joking.)As ever the guy with the hint of Clive Gregson in his songs delivered all the club favourites in his set.Nice to hear everyone sing along.Glad John is well recovered now,(his words not mine.)
Harri Watts came back to end the night with a collection of songs from their last cd,(yes i bought a copy last time they came.).All in all a splendid night of music provided by Les and the artists on show. Thanks everyone for asking if Helian keys was playing and not cheering when we said,"No."

I echo HPB comments we had a really good night and the welcome is second to none. It is always very pleasing to hear young performers extolling their talents good look to both Amy and Tina for the future. Nice to hear the excellent voice, and guitar work of JB for the first time.

Well done Les, the dapper striped clothing you had on "suits you sir". I am sure you will be successful in your new role in Prisoner Cell Block H.

The Caveman snaffled der vino. Only he can comment on the quality but he is always grateful for anything free! Helen even though you thought the vino was pooh it was still a fine gesture to offer it 3 poor, destitute, weary and uncultured Yorkshiremen who certainly wouldn't know a Pinot G----o from a merlot super grape! Next time a bottle of French Brandy will be most welcome (Courvoisier is a particular favourite of ours!). Merry Xmas to all.
