BS: Track Tall Ships From Home!

Click here to track tall ship locations around the world. The list of ships is by no means complete but it is a fun site.

There are lots of other things at that site as well. There is a ship tracker that shows the location of commercial ships, cruise ships, cruising yachts, and oceanographic ships around the world. There is even a link for checking shipping on the Great Lakes. Click on an area to see the names of all the ships.

The wonders of modern technology eh!
Here is another site for tracking great lakes freighters.
By far the most romantic of unromantic vessels afloat!

Aw, the James Craig isn't there :-( Still, looks interesting. I'll show it to John.

You may also "track" airplanes/helecopters and commercial/non flights as public-information (15 minute delay)

The "tall ships" GPS is something new to add into the "bookmarks."

THANK YOU for the references.

Currently researching similar links for arrival/departure ports like Boston, New York, and Seattle.

Sincerely,
Gargoyle

Maybe there is a site for train spotters. They could log the positions of all the trains in the country without having to go and stand on windswept platforms with their little notebooks, flasks and bobble hats.

For all Ship spotters everywhere I have found the ultimate site. Here you can track freighters, tall ships, cruise liners, infact any named vessel.

I'll get my anorak
