From: Pistachio Back in 1978/9 at a British Military Foilk Club in 'West' Berlin, Germany I heard Doug Porter perform. I bought his cassette but it was stolen from my car back in 1987 and I wonder if anyone is familiar with any of the following 'remembered' lyrics ..I just want to hear an old fashioned song, Something with a three part harmony -to break up - the bit - in the middle Something ......... maybe a fiddle or a saxaphone I'm sure I'll recall more words as soon as I hit 'send' Any ideas would be helpful thanks, Hazel. |

He had been in ill health for some time but kept himself busy researching the broadside collection in Derby library. One day while doing this he collapsed and died. A good bloke. Still remembered. Much missed. |
