"Second Season Came" for Bill Leader, (LEO18) released in 1970 by Rosie Hardman. the song starts: I am strangely moved, as by owls in a midnight wood When the mind knows there's nothing to be feared but trembles, as I do with you here.... the track isn't on any of her currently available CDs. Just wondering if anyone who may have the LP would consider making a copy of STRANGELY MOVED for me. Be happy to send a tape/minidisc & p+p etc. Send PM if you could help. Cheers Brad |

It is one of those kind of songs that hits lots of the right kind of buttons. I love the tune and the backing guitar is so evocative. Here are the lyrics transcribed from the recording STRANGELY MOVED (HARDMAN, AXFORD) I am strangely moved, as by owls in a midnight wood When the mind knows there's nothing to be feared yet trembles, as I do with you here.... Long forgotten ways, words upon a half remembered page Something in your smile turned and twisted tangled in my mind Strange and stranger still, I know just what to say There is no need to hurry, for the answer can't be changed And somewhere in the past, waited for today Sealed and signed, pre-designed, it cant be re-arranged I am strangely moved, everything is falling into place There is no need to throw the dice this time The answer is the same in any case Stars and tarrot cards, the reason can't explain Maybe there are ways of knowing things that are to be Once in a dream, that lingered in today I know I heard you calling, "wait for me, wait for me" I am strangely moved, now your eyes disturb me, look away Knowing too much we must take care Not to journey back to yesterday PS Here is Rosie's website which includes info on some of her CDs ROSEMARY (Rosie) HARDMAN bradfordian |

Rosie has some of her former LPs now out on CD. Lovely voice, larger than life personality. It is well documented that her voice suffered severly from smoke inhalation whilst on gigs. brad |

They are NOT good quality in the main but certainly good enough for someone to learn the tune from. Just email me through my website (link in one of the posts above) and I'll do my best Lots of love Rosie |
