BS: Third Test for the Ashes

Well it's almost upon us.

Will Panesar play. If he does, are we going to expect too much from the lad.
Will they drop Harmesan? Its hard to leave him out, just in case he comes good. On the other hand, he has been so poor, its hard to understand why he is still in the side,
Will Anderson come good or just be as crap as he has been.

Will Panasar and Giles play at the expense of Harmeson or Anderson.

Will England win the 3rd test and go on to win the series. Well I for one do hope so. :-)

I hope they win the 3rd and 4th. Then let's see about the 5th.

Could be interesting if they select Giles and Panesar. The Perth pitch has not been as fast in recent years as it was when Lillee and Thomson were in full cry.

Remember, if England had knocked up even 50 runs more in the second innings of the Second Test, it coud have been a draw, with the whole series still swinging.

I think i's a bit early in Rashid's career to put him in the Test side, perhaps after he wins a few matches for Yorkshire next summer. There's an Academy team of young hopefuls already there.

Australia will win this test, and if not this one, certainly the series in the end. It has little to do with the relative abilities of the two sides and much more to do with the will to win.

Australia currently do not hold the ashes. The believe it is their god-given right to hold the ashes and will do everything in their power to get them back. England currently hold the ashes, but do not really want to hang on to them enough, so they will lose the series and with it the ashes. Also look at England's record since that successful ashes series. Dire.

Somebody once said that Australia's national sport is winning! That being the case, there is nothing they hate more than losing. Losing the ashes in England last series must have hurt real bad.

Don't like the first day much. We'd better knock over a couple of Poms before stumps - oops, another four to Cook!

... and another while I was reviewing this message!

And the English wickets fall again.

Well done Panesar & Harmeson

I thought England did very well in the field, but can't stop thinking that if they did so good, what will Australia do when they get in the field and it is starting to show. England may get 150 in their first innings.

You are not alone there, Villan. Still, it is good to see us taking wickets.
