You fingers twitch every time you walk past the computer

Your family slips a tray of food under the door for you

Your only topic of conversation with your friends and family is about who said what on the Mudcat and how you responded!

Your cats take on a haunted, hungry look and try to gnaw on your fingers

Your children take on a haunted, hungry look and try to gnaw on each other's fingers!

Your spouse files for divorce and you don't even notice.

It takes an act of Congress to get you to turn the computer off and go to bed!

They're coming to take you away, ha, ha, to the funny farm and you join in on the chorus!

Come on....fill in the blanks_____________________!

katlaughing her way into insanity! And, loving it all the way!

You spend a week and longer trying to remember one line of a song and then think about tearing your house apart because you KNOW its here somewhere...and besides, supper and the dishes can wait.

You are at dinner with your wife and some of HER friends, you laugh and say "it's like Catspaw was saying..." And they all give you curious looks and Nathan says "and who or what is Catspaw?"

...You are sleeping on the floor next to your computer and every time you awaken you check a thread or two.

...you hate to post short, but you can't keep your eyes open and you're afraid the drool will damage the keyboard.

night...catspaw

When you have already started your list of items to bring to Mudstock, and it doesnt happen til August. Let's see-

1. Fly rod, waders, reel, vest, etc.

2. Camera, cam-corder, cassette taping equipment

3. Guitar, harmonicas, gong (?)

4. 2 cases Brazilian Coca-cola and opener

5. Wife and kid

6. Sunblock, shorts, down jacket, beret, cowboy hat

7. Mudcat t-shirt and flag

8. Autograph book

9. Campstove, grill, Special Chili Recipe (heh-heh-heh)

10. Trinkets to trade with other Mudcatters and primitive Montanans.

11. Laptop so I can keep Mudcattin with the folk that can't make it.

Hey. This could almost be a thread of it's own. " What to bring to Mudstock"

Just found out: the government has been shipping spent nuclear rods across Wyoming to Montana, right? That's what they say! But, as noted in a previous thread, what they've really been shipping was, could it be?
Is it really?
Oh no! Ohmygawd! It IS...

tiples!

I say we bury him in a pile of 'em! NOI, dear and beloved Catspaw!

LEJ: are you really roughin' it ala Teddy, no tent or rv?

Brazilian coca cola....is that made with real coca leaves?

And, you know, before you try trading with any primitives up there, we'd better ask Alice to be a guide. I'm sure she'll be acquainted with their customs and all, prob. even knows some of their trad music! Sure hope she gets to the library again or gets her 'puter back up.

katlaughing, it's why I am here!

Kat...I will fashion me a lair in the woods out of pine boughs and willow branches and crawl out in the mornin with sticks in my beard and huckleberries in my hair!

Or maybe I'll bring this 10x12 coleman tent i've got...LEJ

Careful ya don't hurt Catspaws tender feelins! We don't need him sulking.

PRIMITIVE (!) Montanans?? Who are they?

I'm BACK online (after two weeks of not having my computer) and I can add that being rationed to 15 minutes of the internet after sitting in line at the public library can break you of the habit... but not for long. It did seem really weird to see the mudcat on a small screen after being so used to my big graphics monitor. I'm happy to have it back. Wow. It feels like being home again now that I can log on whenever I want to.

Geez..one day away and the vultures are circling...oh well, it's been one of thoses days anyway.

Now kats got her ear to the ground and she probably is right on the tiple thing...I mean, doesn't it just make sense (at least more than fishin' for a fly)??? All manner of looniness takes place out there in the "Big Sky" country, which is why I fear for Alice...glad she's back regular like. And as I've previously described the CIA plot for world takeover using crazed tiple bands istead of hit squads and killing teams, because IT ONLY MAKES SENSE. Katlaughing has provided that missing puzzle piece; before we could only guess, but now we can be sure!! Do you see it? The training is done in Montana of course because that is the location of the Neil Young Center for the Terminally Screwed!!!!!!

And worse...Cletus was sent there after a few neuron pops from watching Hamsterdance. Oh man, it just hit me too; the only songs he knows are ad jingles so he'll surely be picked for the Libby Dole banishment mission. Yeah, they'll play the Oscar Mayer wiener song and Bob will be swingin' it around screaming, "I got Wood!"

Think I'll chug another bottle of that Brazilian Coke and go to bed.

I too tried the new chat room Max is testing. Max says there's going to be a "Grand Re-Opening" of Mudcat in a few weeks and he's got some really NEAT stuff in the works, I mean REALLY NEAT. Sorry Bert, there's no new hair clik-on or anything, but I'd be happy to share some of mine with you (which isn't red, by the way).

Oh, and if I get hunted down, they read my subversive Mudcat files, and I need a rescue, will you come?

Clandestinely Yours,

Kat

A Catspaw has no feathers, they're furry....It's what the Catspaw hits that has the feathers...Therefore, Catspaw ruffles feathers, all that can be done to him is rub fur the wrong way....

Your mind is so full of obscure words to obscure songs that in response to a request for Appalachian Folk music, you neglect to mention the obvious-----go to "Folk Legacy"
