BS: Your Mudcat New Year's Resolution?

My Mudcat New Year's Resolution is to stick closer to the topic of the thread and stop "chasing rabbits".

But the rabbits will chase you anyway, Slag. (visual )

We'll refresh this in another month or two for you Slag, just to see how you're doing.

Resolution: To nevermore click in vain.

Odds of success: I'm not yet adept at figuring infinitesimal fractions on this thing.

I agree, Amos. In fact, I think I'll start saving time instead of spending it. Let's see, if I save five hours a week at 10% interest, compounded monthly, I'll have around 300 hours saved up by the end of the year. Then I can spend it all at once on something totally wasteful like watching Oprah.

Naw...

I don't follow that custom. Maybe Chongo will have one, though.

Hmmm .... I wonder what Chongo's resolution will be ... hopefully take a vow of silence for a year.

To be more tolerant of those who think they know it all....after all, those of us who DO must show compassion. ;>)

and to refrain from too many lines like the one above.

Not necessarily Mudcattish but mine is a new one for me: I resolve that I will spend the whole year in the moment.

To spend a little less time in here, but make it count more, or work less overtime and have time and energy to do everything I want anyway. Whatever works!

To see again and/or talk again with those of you whom I've met and to meet more that I haven't.

Happy New Year, all!

I have decided to quit the 85 billion thread forever, never to return. I have spent too much time on that thread and neglected others. So it's farewell 85 billion thread, hello the rest.

That when I post a new song (or essay, or other piece of writing) in a new thread, to put the song's title in the thread title.

(and I'm still working on figuring out which non-Mudcat resolution I should do... it will be something fun [I hope]).

Lead I made that very same resolution and have posted so twice now, in the last 5 days... but can't find either of the posts... who keeps stealing my idea and my posts?

Another one I didn't mention but realized I've been mulling over is to write more letters. I have a backlog to begin with, but then to continue writing letters. They're more interesting to receive than email and they last longer than phone calls.
