Lyr Req: Shuffle Off to Buffalo (H Warren)

From: Megan Hawken

My mother is terminally ill and is planning her own funeral. She has requested three unusual songs. This first song has the words, "shuffle off to Buffalo" somewhere in it, but I don't know if it's in the title. The second song is "Hello Central, give me heaven" and the third is a spiritual called "Goin' Home" I know this isn't much to go on and that these songs are probably not really considered folk music, but I am having a heck of a time finding anything on the internet. If someone can just give me a hint as to where to look for these songs I would be very appreciative. Thanks.

SHUFFLE OFF TO BUFFALO
Writer: H. Warren

I'll go home and get my panties
You go home and get your scanties
And away we'll go. Mm!
Off, we're gonna shuffle
Shuffle off to Buffalo
To Niag'ra in a sleeper
There's no honeymoon that's cheaper
And the train goes slow, Ooh!

Someday the stork may pay a visit
And leave a little souvenir
Just a little cute "What is it?"
But we'll discuss that later, dear
For a little silver quarter
We can have the Pullman Porter
Turn the lights down low, Ooh!
Off, we're gonna shuffle
Off to Buffalo.

"Hello Central, get me heaven" has been mentioned and posted before. Do a forum search for it if you can't find it in the database. And it looks like someone else refreshed a thread about "Goin' Home" recently.

I think that maybe Harr warren wrote the music and Al Dubin wrote the words to SHUFFLE OFF TO BUFFALO.

Could be Mick...I found them in an
OLD, OLD songbook with about 1000 FAKE
arranged songs...at a garage sale
No front cover - no name - no date
but FULL of OLDIES...but skimpy on details.

Just checked it up, it was Harry Warren and Al Dubin in 42nd Street (1929).
