31 Dec 06 - 11:06 AM (#1923166) Subject: RE: Happy New Year from New Zealand From: JennyO Well it's after 3am here in Sydney. We had a fantastic New Years Eve - started out with friends in Glebe, walked down and caught the tram in to Darling Harbour and saw the 9pm fireworks, wandered round, sang a few songs - which got a few stares. Then we got the tram back to Glebe and went to another friend's place - he lives in a flat which is high up and has a balcony which looks out towards the harbour and gives a good view of the Harbour Bridge - so we sat out there drinking our wine and eating all manner of goodies as we watched the world go by. At midnight we were treated to a spectacular light show, with fireworks coming from all directions - they went on for ages and were fantastic! Then there was another few hours chatting, eating and drinking before I came home. A great night! Anyway, HAPPY NEW YEAR from Oz! |
