Carl J Robison wrote it and it is in some collections. I can't locate the lyrics on the www, but a Google of

"Will there be a santa claus in heaven?", lyrics

Will take you to two place where you might inquire as to the possibility of getting a copy of the lyrics (or sheet music).

Thanks for looking.
I've searched Google too and came up with the same thing. I know little bits of the song and I was just hoping that perhaps some of the great people on this forum might be able to supply the rest, since I've found a lot of wonderful lyrics I was looking for here in the past.

Thanks again though. I appreciate the reply.

The Leonard H. Axe Library seems to have this song in the archives. Maybe you could contact them?

Here's what I know of the song but I'm not certain how accurate it is.

In a home a lonely girl lay dying
While Christmas bells ring out so clear
Beside her bed were Dad and Mother
Praying God to save their daughter dear

Will there be a Santa Claus in Heaven?
Will there be a Christmas tree up there?
Will there be a lot of other soldiers
With their girls and other things to share?

As the breath of life was slowly fading
They knew that Death was on it's way
As they raised up their darling daughter
In a whisper you could hear her say
"Goodbye Mom and goodbye Daddy darling
Please don't cry as all my pain is gone
?
?

There are at least two more lines but this is all I remember.

Have known of this song since the mid 40's.....my family had a songbook & it was in it.
My sister used the song for a skit in a Christmas program.
Someone posted audio of it on youtube and states it was written by Herry House. Too bad I have not been able to locate that songbook.

WILL THERE BE A SANTA CLAUS IN HEAVEN?
BALLAD
(Carson J Robison, 1928)

VOICE
In a little home a child lay dying,
As the Christmas bells rang out so clear;
There beside her bed was Dad and Mother,
Praying God to spare their baby dear;
As the little spark of life grew dimmer,
And they knew that death was on its way;
Tenderly they raised their little darling,
And with feeble breath they heard her say:

  REFRAIN
  "Will there be a Santa Claus in Heaven?
  Will they have a Christmas tree up there?
  Will there be a lot of other children,
  With their toys and pretty things to share?
  Goodbye Mama, goodbye Papa, darling,
  All the pain is gone, so please don't cry;
  I think may be Santa Claus is waiting,
  To take me in his sleigh up to the sky.

Then the mother whispered, "Yes my darling,
Santa Claus is waiting for you there;
And I know the angels will be singing,
When they see you climbing up the stair;"
Then her baby eyes were closed in slumber,
And her little soul was on its way;
Gone to meet her Santa Claus in heaven,
Gone to find a brighter Christmas day:

No, Santa Claus is not in heaven. I encountered him in a Chinese restaurant recently.

At a nearby table sat a short stout man with full white beard, white hair and round glasses. It was summer, and he was wearing a plaid shirt and jeans. A little black girl, about four years old, saw him and cried "Hi, Santa!" in a tone of joy mixed with awe.

Santa looked over at her, and his eyebrows went up pleased recognition. He smiled gently, and the little encounter was over.

So that's where Santa is now.

I think the last 2 lines are :

I think maybe Santa Clause is waiting,
To take me to his home up the sky.

I also have SEARCHED for this song for many years. My dad would sing it to us - I think he learned it on the radio in the '30s, '40s
