Is it possible, I live in the centre of a town with appalling network coverage,I cant change my phone provider and I was wondering if mobile networks could be accessed via broadband

there have been www sites that provided texting PC to phone for free - but I haven't seen the links lately - I think the cost structure changed and it was too expensive to provide for free - But is is certainly possible and the directory services do it and you can get e-mails sent to you as texts.

hmmm...I said VText was the thing, but I never use it except in the US.

It may be important to specify that you are in the UK...as I would guess from certain spelling. ALWAYS make it clear where you are when asking tech questions, as the answers may vary.

AOL in the UK says you can text to a mobile from it via email, but I haven't tried it.
