The Reindeer pub in Penleys Grove Street in York is having it's first go at running a singaround/mixed session tonight at 8.30.

If you happen to be in the area come along and sing/play/listen.

It's a new venture in a pub run by folk-friendly folk. Come and support it if you can.

Sorry I couldn't make it last night Nick - there was thunder, lightnin' and hail showers across the Pennines so didn't fancy the journey!
Hope it went well, will try again soon.

I think it would be safe to say that it was disastrous. Myself and a friend went and that was it.

Ah well

don't be downhearted, When Ayton started it was three people for a couple of weeks, five for a couple of weeks and after three months it was fifty. Ron and Martin were away and my voice was shot to ribbons after Friday night so none of the three of us were available. I will call in and have some words of encouragement. A note was passed around the tap but it was nearly all students in and they don't have the money to spend on nights out. No Ron, No Martin, No Paul, No Damien, just me and one of the young students to lead all the singing and my voice, recovering from a yucky cold, wasn't up to it (ok no jokes!)
