Anyone know the words of this song recorded by eddie furey?.

I sat and i thought of a man ocarolan played for kings and lords and ladies,
to hear him play oh it must have been wondrous to feel his music played at
                                        his command

O'CAROLANS TRIBUTE is on "The Sound of the Fureys & Davey Arthur," Polydor LP 2490160, 1980.

It's also on a various-artists compilation called "All the Folk That Fits," Polydor 2-LP set #2668026, 1981.

Those albums are apparently out of print, and I couldn't find any lyrics or sound samples.

A German-Irish band called The Cluricaune also perform this song, and they have a sound sample at their web site, but it would be difficult for me to transcribe.

The words have been posted here before (mercifully, not too often), and can easily be found via the onsite search engine if you search for a short phrase you already know: played for kings, among other options, will do the trick.
