I think these guys are great and I would like to give you the chance to hear them too. Check out their excellent site SHOW OF HANDS

What do you think?

I agree, they do some great songs. i am mostly impressed by Phil Beer who seems to be able to play every stringed instrument under the sun.

Bye, Sam

Yes I agree, he plays everything so very well too and it all adds to the songs not competes with them. His slide guitar work is so tidy. He also plays the piano! They do deserve to be better known.

I think they already are quite well known, I mean they have played at the 'Albert Hall', done tours around china and other places. they are also booked a couple of festivals this year.

Bye, Sam

They are VERY WELL KNOWN back here in the UK We tend to keep them a secret so they don't keep going to Amerikay for long periods! ;)

Agreed

Show of Hands are a great band, real musicians. Slight tendency to overproduce & sound Poppy, but the music shines thru.

Don't tell them in the US, they'll only want to keep them over there.

Phil has recently spent some time going round schools promoting Fiddle & folk music. Pity others can't follow that lead to keep music alive

As to them being well known, it is of course a relative thing, I just think they are not as well known as they deserve to be.

I started this because in all of the time I have been coming here, I have not seen them mentioned at all.
