You know? ...where he splays his fingers between the middle and ring fingers? It's one of the "pat-your-head-while-rubbing-your-stomach" things that some people seem to have no problem with, and others just cannot do. Well, I've got a guitar-related "vulcan greeting" confounding me. I have tried off and on for years, sometimes spending hours at a time just going over, and over, and over, and over...playing this passage non-stop. I've slowed it down to a crawl. That helps. I can do it that way but to be perfectly honest, even going slow does not guarantee that I will be able to play it cleanly. I've played it at the requisite 200 bpm too -- even played it cleanly up to speed, though I knew it was just dumb luck. I can't do it at will. Is this passage difficult for anyone else here? |
