The above is my own composition. |

06 Feb 07 - 07:04 AM (#1958819) Subject: RE: Lyr Add: Cemetary Rose From: retrancer Thanks for taking a look. Oddly, one of my musical goals has been to write a "traditional" song. Well, maybe not so "oddly" here in this forum - but in the general world of wannabe millionaire musicians. I'd just like one of my songs to be good enough that people like it and play it. I hope that's happening with Cemetery Rose - its been covered once by a guy in California doing his own CD which ws pretty flattering and i begged him not to list me in credits and make it "trad" or anaon but he insisted. I just found the shameless self promotion thread which i guess is where this should be, I'm sure someone will slap me around with a large mudcat (or trout) if I accidentally break a rule or two. website at myspace below has this song recorded as well as 3 other originals - Broken Rainbows is my other favorite. http://www.myspace.com/jasonoliver |

I actually saw this rose for real in a cemetery here, it was new years day and it was on the plains of south texas where I live. strangest thing, that rose, not a leaf on the bush and cold as hell midwinter. I have a pic i need to capture off a videocassette tape when i get to the album art. |
