12 Feb 07 - 05:53 AM (#1964658) Subject: RE: Blyth Folk Club From: jiva We don't recollect ever having seen a www.blythfolkclub.co.uk site, but we did play a few times at the acoustic & roots club in the Ridley Hotel at Blyth. Dave Forshaw who 'ran' the club has since moved on to doing things at/for Clennell Hall in Alwinton. If you're looking for clubs in the area you might like to look at the venues page on our website. It lists, by day of the week, places we have played and gives a brief review of each (eg smoking or not, separate room or not, PA or not, format of the night, organiser contact details etc). It also provides links to other local resources (eg Banjo Bills and Folk Roundabout). We live in Blyth and would be interested to find out if there are any existing clubs in our home town.
