My wife just shouted down from bedroom. Get off MUDCAT and do something more constructive. Any ideas?

Tell her you have a herniated disk and the doctor told you that ergonomically, sitting at a computer screen and both typing and reading is GOOD for you.

Take her out for an early Valentines dinner and spend less time chatting with the likes of me. You may also try slipping this on to the BS thread.
Give her my love.

PS

Try to work the word 'convoluted' into the stuff you tell he.

5:16 to 5:30??? THAT'S all it took in the bedroom?

(Hey...I know...you can print out the MOAB thread and read it IN bed at night...seems like you'll have the time.)

Try showing her more love and understanding, if that fails give her a smack in the gob.

Constructive? That sounds suspiciously like work to me. Don't take any notice, is my advice. My wife gets these crazy ideas that I should do something 'constructive' now and again. I have to pretend to agree and string her along for a while, and hope she forgets. She usually doesn't though :-(

Define "constructive."

Did Einstein's wife dog him with that harangue?

Einstein? Dog Harangue? You have your scientists mixed up. It was PAVLOVAS dog. Every time he rang a bell it ate a raspberry merangue...

(Blame Terry Pratchett)

PavLOV. Pavlova would have been the wife.

Do the laundry. She'll be grateful, especially if it's an up-and-down-stairs task, and you'll have time to play on Mudcat while the machines cycle. Hint: read instructions on soap box if you've never done laundry before.

A dangerous precedent - don't do it!

Maybe she's a really smart lady who meant, "Get off the damn computer and make some real music; I believe in you and in your music."

I KNOW one Mudcatter whose wife, semi-teasingly, blames ME for introducing him to Mudcat.

semi teasingly...should that be wholly condemningly Bill?

No, trust me Susan, it was PavlovA with the merangue. Pavlov's dog may have rung a bell but to make a cake you had to see his missus. Now, what that had to do with Einsteins harangue only time (or space) will tell....

Actually Pavlov's dog has been trying to chase Schroedinger's cat, but is never quite sure where to find it...

If you have to turn to mudcat to ask advice---maybe she has a point!

Schroedinger's cat, it's Schrodinger's cat.
