The second, named as 18-year-old Franklin Leal, from Cucuta, was then shot as he stood by the ticket booth, according to the newspaper La Opinion. The travelling circus had set up in a suburb of Cucuta, capital of Norte de Santander province near the Venezuelan border, about 10 days earlier, the paper says. To one person the clown killers are terrorists; To another they are avengers of children. And D'Van, first they come for the clowns. Then they come for the banjo players. [etc.] This is REAL. |

The gunman burst into the Circo del Sol de Cali on Monday night and shot the clowns in front of an audience of 20 to 50 people, local police chief Jose Humberto Henao told Reuters. One of the clowns was killed instantly, and the second died the next day in hospital." http://www.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/americas/02/21/colombia.clowns.reut/index.html OK, the next line is: "The killings had nothing to do with the show the victims were performing at the time of the incident," Henao said in a telephone interview. "We are investigating the motive."" But do you have any stories of critics acting out? Threads combined |

Not to mention the streets of Washington, which would be running with Gore, Cheny, Bush, Rover, H and B CLinton and the precious bodily fluids of several thousand other clowns who like to prance around that part of the world. And our self-righteous gay friend Ernesto who was having Mounties (possibly plastic) shoved down his throat - where did he come from and where did he go? |

27 Feb 07 - 04:01 PM (#1981088) Subject: RE: BS: Tough critic-clowns shot in Colombia From: Peace "Okay, I'm confused" That's a good sign. The issue is this: On tuesday last a letter arrived that requested my Aunt Mehitabel's recipe for Australian goulash. I TRIED to explain to numb-nuts Ernesto that in Canada we mix the stew by having the RCMP take it with them as they pursue dangerous criminals on horseback. That is, the Mounties are on horseback and the criminals drive SUVs. Anyway, he has problems because he somehow thinks that a Mountie fired his bow unwisely (they use bows and arrows in Canada because we have laws that say people can't have guns except for criminal people who MUST carry guns or else we deport them to Iraq where they make spaghetti westerns on shoestring budgies) and hit his personal Rosie blow-up doll, and now that Rosie won't inflate, neither can he. He didn't mean to be all mad at Canada and the Mounties; it was just the angst resulting from plain ol' fuckin' frustration. |
