BS: Zen, must be the way!

¢À Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either,
just fuck off and leave me alone.
¢À The journey of a thousand miles begins with a broken fan belt and a flat tyre.
¢À The darkest hours come just before the dawn. So if you're going to steal your neighbour's milk and newspaper, that's the
time to do it.
¢À Sex is like air. It only becomes really important when you aren't getting any.
¢À Don't aspire to become irreplaceable. If you can't be replaced, you can't be promoted.
¢À Never forget that you are unique, like everyone else.
¢À Never test the depth of the water with both feet.
¢À If you think nobody cares whether you're dead or alive, try missing a couple of mortgage payments
¢À Before you judge someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you judge them, you're a mile away and
you have their shoes.
¢À If at first you don't succeed, avoid skydiving.
¢À Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish, and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.
¢À Have you ever lent someone $20 and never seen that person again? It was probably worth it.
¢À If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.
¢À Some days we are the flies; some days we are the windscreen.
¢À Don't worry; it only seems kinky the first time.
¢À Good judgment comes from experience; experience comes from bad judgment.
¢À The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.
¢À A closed mouth gathers no feet.
¢À There are two theories about how to win an argument with a woman. Neither one works.
¢À Generally speaking, you aren't learning much if your lips are moving.
¢À Never miss a good chance to shut up.
¢À Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
¢À When we are born we are naked, wet, hungry, and we get smacked on our arse. From there on in, life gets worse.
¢À The most wasted day of all is one in which we have not laughed.
Remember not to forget that which you do not need to know.
True words! Skipy, had to share it.

Actually, it sounds British--windscreen, tyre--but I think in reality, Taoism is "the way."

thanks for the inspiration, Skipy. Here are a few more to share back --

That which does not kill me postpones the inevitable.

Until you have the courage to lose sight of the shore, you will not know the terror of being forever lost at sea

It's best to avoid standing directly between a competitive jerk and his goals.

Pressure can turn a lump of coal into a flawless diamond, or an average person into a perfect basketcase.

When you wish upon a falling star, your dreams can come true. Unless it's really a meteorite hurtling to the Earth which will destroy all life. Then you're pretty much hosed no matter what you wish for. Unless it's death by meteor.

Thanks Skipy and mrdux and here are a few more life lessons...

Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.

People who want to share their religious views with you almost never want you to share yours with them.

You should not confuse your career with your life.

No matter what happens, somebody will find a way to take it too seriously.

A person who is nice to you, but rude to the waiter or waitress, is NOT a nice person. (very true)

You cannot make someone love you. All you can do is stalk them and hope they panic and give in.

*wink*
Love and Light,
Jude

A monk went to the dentist for an exam. The dentist found a cavity and said he would have to give the monk a filling. "Do you want something for the pain?", asked the dentist. The monk replied, "No thank you, I transcend dental medication."

Loved them skipy.

Yes the Tao is the way

   or

   "I am the way"

which I interpret to mean that as each of us utters exactly those words, that is the truth for each of us.

i like ,is it Dennis Norden's

He digs deepest who deepest digs.

think it won a 'most meaningless proverb' comp.
