Seeing the Sidewalk Art thread reminded me I have a file with a few pictures of babies made of marzipan (almond paste) which are incredible works of art. I have no way of getting them here but if you would like to see them, please PM me your E-mail addy and will send the file.
Best wishes, Mike.

Wow. We make marzipan little fruits and things every midwinter - we'll have to try to make a baby someday, see how hard it is!

It seems kind of wasteful. Making babies out of edible material. I mean, how could you possibly eat one of those?

Lovely little sculptures, indeed. They are made of polymer clay, not marzipan. The artist describes the marzipan story as "an urban legend".

Good thing they're not really marzipan. I must confess the first image I had in my mind was a picture of my dog with little pink feet sticking out of her mouth and the caption, "A dingo ate my baby!".

they're magic! I've bookmarked her page.

I've seen miniature polymer clay & porcelain dolls at Doll fairs, but nothing like these ones, so I sent her website to a few dollmakers/collectors I know.
