He wrote it for my Grandmother when he met her. I am impressed it lasted this long, my mum was born in 1916 so it must have been written long before that. |

On October 14, 2023, the page owner started listing videos from the 2023 Garry McMahon Traditional Singing Weekend. The 6th video he loads for that day is a young boy named Dara who sings this particular song beautifully. It is a real treat! I tried to see if I could find Sadie Power (above) who stated that her grandfather wrote it so I could contact her directly, but then I quickly saw that there were MANY Sadie Power profiles online. Hope you all enjoy this video and the many others of beautiful songs from that weekend. I have been enjoying them for many days now! |
