06 Mar 07 - 08:23 AM (#1988044) Subject: BS: The Scandal Thread From: Azizi To paraphrase an African American spiritual: The US's got scandals. The UK's got scandals. All the world's gov'ments got scandals. -snip- Since conspiracies got their own current thread thread.cfm?threadid=99598&messages=52 , why not one for scandals? [That's a rhetorical question but you can respond to it if you wanna]. In this thread you can list the political or non-political scandals you read about, saw tv or online clips about, or other wise heard about. In this thread you can include online links about the scandal you listed or your comments or other's comments about that particular scandal. Needless to say, folks may not agree with you that what you list is actually scandalous. But nobody said that folks have to agree with you. [Maybe folks have to walk some miles in your sandals to agree with you that what you posted is a scandal. Maybe not. But just in case, maybe you should make sure your feet are clean.] :o) Anyway, I got some scandals I point out to folks here, just in case you haven't read about them. If you want, join me in listing the news that you consider to be scandalous. Thanks in advance for your participation in this thread! Azizi |

06 Mar 07 - 08:27 AM (#1988048) Subject: RE: BS: The Scandal Thread From: Azizi Scandlous!!!! Conditions at Walter Reed Hospital See this link for information about this scandal: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/02/28/AR2007022801954.html Here's an excerpt from that Washington Post article: "Hospital Officials Knew of Neglect Complaints About Walter Reed Were Voiced for Years By Anne Hull and Dana Priest Washington Post Staff Writers Thursday, March 1, 2007; Page A01 Top officials at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, including the Army's surgeon general, have heard complaints about outpatient neglect from family members, veterans groups and members of Congress for more than three years. A procession of Pentagon and Walter Reed officials expressed surprise last week about the living conditions and bureaucratic nightmares faced by wounded soldiers staying at the D.C. medical facility. But as far back as 2003, the commander of Walter Reed, Lt. Gen. Kevin C. Kiley, who is now the Army's top medical officer, was told that soldiers who were wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan were languishing and lost on the grounds, according to interviews".... |

20 Jan 11 - 02:58 PM (#3078802) Subject: RE: BS: The Scandal Thread From: Richie Black (misused acct, bad email) Failed Labour shadow Chancellor Alan Johnson has just resigned in a typical Labour sex scandal after being caught with his leg over a young lady. His wife also showed him the front door. Failed Labour leader Ed Miliband announced that Mr Johnson's position will now be taken up by Ed Balls. Now that should prove interesting ! |

You had Shamed Edinburgh MP Nigel Griffiths climbing on a young one. Then just before that you saw Norman Packer kicked out of the party for taking a girl more than half his age to a hotel for a peddle. |
