I'll be at the personal care home again tomorrow to sing some Easter songs/hymns and I'll see if I can get some of the lyrics from the gentleman, who, I believe, visits his wife there every day. He's also a bit shaky on the melody. It almost sounds to me like an English music-hall song from early in the century but Frank thinks it may have come from the 1940s. So there you are.
