the advertising industry

more importantly - is Valentino going to win this year?

He declined a seat in the Ferrari team last year. I think he realised the FI paddock was too glum for the likes of an incorrigable genius. However WRC will benefit in a few years time.

"Whoever crosses the line first at the end of the race."

Ah, yes, isn't that always the case and I for one am getting sick and tired of it.

Every driver who has reached the F1 level is talented and with great reflexes and hand-eye ability to pilot a very hi-tech vehicle at high speeds. There is no racing in F1 though. It is an engineering contest nowadays that has little to do with the days of Stewart or Clark or Moss or Fangio. They raced. Today, there is more racing at just one 100 lap Sprint Car race at ElDora than there is in an entire season of Formula One.

Even for all the crap NASCAR takes over technology and the like, at least racing takes place, passing goes on all the time, etc. For my money, the best road racing available today is Aussie Supers. But please don't ask about racing in F1 where the car (and tires) is over 90% of the equation. Afte you've got your rocks off on the hi-tech, the rest of F1 is Boredom to the 90th Power.

Well It won't be a schumacher I dont think!
I think Kubica could be a force to reckon with, given the right car etc!
Massa and Alonso are the obvious choices, but there are a lot of new names this season and if we could have a bit of rain to make things interesting......................Who knows!
Who, by the way is going to win the rugby?
Cheers, Lucy

I'm sure many think it will be between 3 or maybe even 4 possibles but we should always be prepared for something unusual to happen as it sometimes does. At this stage in the season, nothing ever surprises me.

Williams fan, I get to wander around in there by invite once in a while. If you join the "club" (see williams f1 official site) you can have a visit, as a catter you will be more than welcome to stay at my gaff, drink beer & talk about music, and of course rip a few people to pieces.

I see y'all rushed right back here to discuss the thrills and spiffy driving as soon as the race ended.............................

Let's see..........Schumacher is gone but his car wins anyway with Raikkonen as the occupant/pilot. What action there was typically took place back in the field as Scuderia Ferrari prances to another victory.

............burp...................yawn........................

Yeah that F1 is so damn exciting..........................

Spaw if you want action try MotoGP - at least they smile more - and some of them are disgustingly young and know no fear. The smaller classes (younger pilots) are hair-raising some years.

Of course there may be too few wheels for some people.

And I did drive past the Williams gates just to say I dun it. While attending the White Horse Folk Festival

Its a factory - modern, clean, but a factory.

Already a big fan of Moto GP! Didja' catch the ride that Casey Stoner put in on the Ducati btw? The best thing about Moto GP is that the big stars can always get beaten and they pass with daring!

Are you at all familiar with American Sprint Cars (1200 pounds with 850 horsepower) and Midgets? On both dirt and asphalt the action is continual and fast.....makes for great racing all the time. Mo Nunn went up to Eldora 2 years ago during the USGP week and was completely gassed but the best line came from Jackie Stewart back in his prime. Taken to a Sprint Car race at Winchester (I think), all the drivers wanted to meet him. He'd been watching the first few heats and was being shown around the pits shaking hands. One of the guys asked him if he'd like to try one out. Stewart replied that he'd left his helmet back in Indy. When someone offered him a helmet he cranked out a great line......."No thanks, you see I've left me balls there as well."

And it's good bye to Jensen Button, another White Hope in the mould of Tim Henman and Buster Mottram, and hello Lewis Hamilton the new boy wonder.
Did I mention Colin Montgomerie?
