You could ask the granny if she believes in the constitution of the United States, and then ask her if she would be frightened if the storyteller started off with a Christian prayer. How about a Buddhist chant? Get her to explain to you why paganism should be treated like any other religion. Of course, the whole conversation would have to be hypothetical, since there is nothing inherently religious about lighting a candle or reading nursery rhymes . . . Does anyone know if the Mormons use candles in their church services?
