Georgiansilver, I now hail from just beyond the event horizon of the known universe, way over here in the upper left corner of the U.S.A.
Originally I'm from The Land Of Lincoln, Illinois, one of the midwestern states.

That's what initially prompted me to view the thread. I thought that it might be refering to an event somewhere in or around "The Land Of Lincoln" where Abe Lincoln was born and raised. I now believe this is not the case, but rather that this event is taking place somewhere outside the U.S. I'm guessing it is perhaps somewhere in the British Isles but still cannot tell for certain. Never having traveled abroad, I am not very familiar with how general addresses differ in various parts of the world.

Then there's the habit, here in the U.S., of bar owners who try to imitate various drinking establishments from the Britian Isles and elsewhere by applying a decor, products (brews) and a name that emulates them. So reading a post about an event at a place (for example) called Murphy's Irish Pub, may not actually give much information about where this actual pub may be located. It could be in any number of locations across the globe.

Again, please forgive this habit of mine to drift away from the actual intended message and subject of this thread. I was merely trying to make a very small point for those, like myself, who may be geographically challenged.
