lucky_p BS: The Return of Ten obscure facts about you (173* d) RE: BS: The Return of Ten obscure facts about you 08 Oct 04

1. Every man I ever had more than 2 dates with emotionally abused me, and I wasn't aware of that until recently. Everyone else in my world was aware of it, however, all these years.

2. Unlike Sorcha, I have been fortunate to find one man whose penis is user-friendly, finally, at age 51.

3. I love to write in colorful, descriptive, imaginative, metaphorical language.

4. My father went to Boston Latin High School and was an expert in Latin and Greek. But he didn't go to college and instead, rode freight trains during the 1930's and became a radical rabble-rouser in a million ways, finally making a lot of money as a liquor salesman.

5. My mother was a pyschiatric social worker for the desperately poor and disenfranchised. One the patients in the clinic in which she worked stabbed her to death in her office in 1962. I was 9 and my brother was 12. Our family almost disintegrated at that time.

6. My stepmother is also a social worker. She was boxer Floyd Patterson's social worker when he was a teenager in an institution in New York City. She is a holocaust survivor and while she was not in a concentration camp, she is considered a holocaust survivor because she born and raised in Vienna and was there and survived Kristallnacht, in 1938.

7. I always wanted to be a poet and/or an itinerant folksinger, but I never had the moxy.

8. Never thought I would have my own child, but did, at age 42, and he is joy of my life.

9. Can't believe I am driving a car. I learned to drive when I was 50.

10. Can't believe I recently divorced. I thought when I got married for the first time at age 38, I knew enough about this stuff to ensure a lasting partnership. I was wrong.
