I am very sorry to pass on this news which has just reached me from Lincolnshire, UK. Dave Williams, highly respected maker of Uillean Pipes, and a friend to many musicians throughout the world, sadly died in a car accident near his home on Tuesday evening. Details of the accident are still emerging but he was the sole occupant in his car which overturned on a sharp bend. I will always remember Dave as a wonderful friend and very dedicated maker of some of the world's finest musical instruments. I pass on this news with great sadness....
