Out here they recommend having some bottled water, a radio with batteries, flashlights, blankets and camping type food. They also recommend that we have someone out of state designated to be our person we contact because the local lines tend to get messed up. Contact that person, to let them know of your whereabouts and what, if anything, you need and they can then relay that message to your other friends and relatives. (P.S.
