Eric if you dont like Mike Hardings programme write and tell them or listen to a programme which gives you a better spread such as Radio Derby and there's more there for the trads and knowalls like you and me! I'm not entering into discussions on programme content, if you are happy not tell THEM! They have been given the Folk Programme and will stand or fall on its popularity that is balance of plusses against minuses There are a load of BBC regional folk programmes which you can access, via the internet vote with your feet!
