Thanks, Azizi. I think this is one of those songs where multiple layers of meaning crowd together in the elegantly sparse words-- like so many of the spirituals. "No man can hinder me (Susan) because Jesus is my King" and "No man can hinder Me (Jesus)" because the Lord WILL have His way with us, and "No man can hinder Thee (Jesus or the Father)" because God is God and God don't never change-- God is God, and I'm not. All of that in one line, for me, when I sing it. Thanks for enlarging my view to include a glimpse of your experience, too. ~Susan
