Not sure about Kiribati's time - NZ's certainly been maintaining it's first. Maybe daylight saving's not been taken into account. Hey Kat, re Trad songs from NZ - if it's Maori songs you're referring to, the melodic "popular" ones were developed after the arrival of European. True traditional Maori waiata are chants - much like the Haka (a challenge issued by men, and commonly seen at sports) or the Karanga (a sole female voice of welcome/greeting).
