The last line of the article that Janie provided a link to says that this bill also "provides up to $1.5 billion to help some consumers buy converter boxes so existing televisions do not go dark after the transition." (the transition being to mandatory digital service). So don't worry, you might lose your life-saving prescriptions, but you won't lose your TV service! Snoozer (shaking her head at the absurdity of it all...)
