Jack's a retired bank manager, too. I still have a treasured CD entitled Jack The Bard's Last Stand, recorded by Andy the Forest Tracks man when Jack did a gig at Llantrisant Folk Club. Before my stroke, Calennig (Pat and I) used sing Dewi Davies in spot-on harmony - it was a brilliant melange of seven well-known Welsh songs, written in Jack's intelligent and hilarious hand. We always credited him for that. We recorded Dewi Davies for our second Greenwich Village album, but Joe (He Who Must Be Obeyed) Stead had to cut out the track, saying the album (You Can Take A White Horse Anywhere) was too full. Here's to you, Jack, for giving me so much pleasure with your songs.
