How about a sticker made for the rear windown saying "the space in front of this vehicle is for my safety not your convenience". It might allow me to keep the safe distance between me and the car in front without some idiot hurtling past and cutting in requiring me to slow down to reset that space which in turn slows all the traffic behind too.
