The Villian, write to your brothers GP and request how the situation was allowed to happen. Put the wind up him, doctors are quite skilled at side tracking the truth to people face to face after a F..k up. They hate having to answer by letter as the don't know where it could end. This is a man's life here, and after such a traumatic ordeal he didn't need this. Hope he gets sorted. Make the ward staff aware you want fully informed of his progress.
