Hello everyone. I am a member of the friends group of the Colorado City Library. Firstly, I appreciate the support and response that we have had with this project. I would like to clarify a few things and hopefully answer some of your questions. I would like to make it known that this is a new generation of people who are trying to get this project going. Last names, prejudices and politics are things that we are working to keep away from this project entirely. This is not a religious project either, it is for the community and surrounding communities, whatever faith they may be. Because of this, we are accepting any and every material that we can for our library. We are striving for knowledge and great minds of the future. We realize that questions about african-american authors and other music types are legitimate questions. We are happy to say that we will accept all those sorts of material. We do not want to restrict the growth of the minds of these communities in any way. We are open to any genre of music from opera to hard rock.
