Brendy, I saw nothing in your post that needed the response it got - what a site that is! I cannot stand "I vow to thee", with its swearing away of things which the country should defend, not demand as its own. Spoils a good tune. I prefer the national hymns in Congregational Praise, like "Oh God of Earth and Altar" and "When wilt thou save the people?" which my mother wanted at her funeral, but eventually decided against because they might offend some more conservative friends
